Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
Just recently (has happened four times) car running ok, when you are slowing down car shifts out of gear. First couple of times, car started slowing down, put car into N then back into drive car was ok. Last time was driving slow car went out of gear, put car into first gear and then back to drive car ok. What is problem. Is it trans, speed sensor or what. Also since May 2008 the speedometer (as I say) goes to sleep. You can be driving 30-40 mph all of a suddent the speedometer falls to zero You DO NOT lose power. Then eventually it goes back to the speed you were travelling. Send me an answer to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks
Replace the speed sensor on the trans that will cause exactly what you describe is happening.
