Speedometer is not working and transmission wont shift

There are two likely solutions to this problem. 1) The transmission control module. This is the part that controls the shifting of the transmission. 2) The VSS. The vehicle speed sensor is what tells the gauge how fast you are going.
Both of these can cause this type of problem.

that delayed reaction may be the transmission slipping. with those many miles it could be the transmission going bad

1992 honda accord. The gear shift will be in D 4 But the shifting lights for Park will come on and both lights will start blinking.

The d4 light will blink when there are codes in the tcu. You need to have the codes read on the transmission computer.

1986 accord auto is stuck in first

You have a bit of metal or clutch material in a fluid passage, you will need to pull the trans valve body and have it hot tanked, if that doesn't fix it you will need an overhaul. Good luck
