The dealer is the only way to go - no one else can look up the unlock code. They look it up based on the VIN number of your car - and they usually charge an hour's labor to do it, which is ridiculous, but that's unfortunately how it goes. Call around to a few other VW and Audi dealers and see if you can find another one who'll do it for less. You may get lucky with that.

Just curious - why was this rated as a "thanks for trying"? The definition for that is basically that it was information that really wasn't helpful at all. The reason I ask is that it's the truth - the dealer is the only one who can give you that information - and as a result of this rating, my overall rating has been dropped because of it. Ratings of 1 or 2 are detrimental to the experts on the forum and can drop us down low enough that we're not eligible to get paid from the site.

Either register your car on-line with Honda to get the code or go to a Honda dealer.

Can I retrieve the radio code with the Odyssey vin number? The code is not in the glove. I do not have the manual.

No, the stereo unlock code cannot be retrieved with the VIN.

You can get the unlock code for free from any Honda Dealer. You will need to give them the stereo serial number from the back of the stereo or written on a card (or possibly the manual) provided when the vehicle was new. If the dealer removes the stereo to retrieve the serial number they will charge around $100.

DANGER: Do not try to enter the code randomly! The stereo will lock out after 10 incorrect attempts.

The battery died in my car and now the stereo doesn't want to come on, it has something to do with the anti-theft. how can i fix this?

When you purchased this vehicle the dealer ship or last owner should have given you the code for the radio. If not contact the dealer because you may be able to get the code from the VIN number if not then it 's the radio 's serial number. If it turns out to be the radio's serial number you have to remove the radio to get it. If your handy attempt it with the shop manual for the vehicle. Otherwise give the dealer the 100.00 bucks for this service ONLY THIS TIME KEEP THE CODE.

I need to get a code for my raido in my car

the radio must be removed and the serial number must be ran through the honda isis system to get ur code online...the radio doesnt have to be removed from the dealer but the dealer is the only one that can request the code from honda...i recommend haveing the dealer remove the radio though,, sometimes those models are tricky.....another option is to get another aftermarket stereo.....which may have better features and sound better than the factory one, they will charge u about 100 bucks depending on that dealers labor rate to remove the radio....

Radio Code for 1995 Mitsubishi 3000 GT

you have to go to a mitsubishi dealer and have them look this information up for you. for security you should have a card that came with the card that has the code on it. check your manual and glovebox to be sure but otherwise a dealers the only solution and they need to see you and the car in person.
