This summer when we'd turn on the AC it would go from vent to defrost to floor, after a minute of that it would go to vent. I guess I forgot it did that until the windows were frosted this fall and realized the only place air will come out is the vents.

There are 3 actuators the top one is for the center the bottom one for the floor vents the middle for defrost unplug the top one and unscrew the two 1/4 bolts pull out the mode actuator slowly and with a carefull hand turn the sprocket door left to right with the car running you will manually open the vents have some one feel the air come out either to the floor or center or defrost mode ...the actuator is 70.00$ but that should help you in the mean time untill you bye one ,dont forget to put back the mode actuator after you set it in where you want your air ,,,,smp5172@live .com i know cus it happened to me and i fixxed it for the time bein..

Pull the AC control in the dash and verify that there is vacuum going to it, all the different air diversion doors are operated by seperate vacuum motors controlled by the ac control head in the dash, as you switch it it sends vacuum to the correct location to work that door for the desired air outlet, dash, floor etc..

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler pacifica heater controls won't change

Under the dash drivers side there are mode motors that control where the air comes from replace bad one or both the bottom one is recirculate. You could take a volt meter and see which one has power when you push button

either the heater control or the lil motor that adjusts the door is shot.
i believe the motor is on top of the heater box behind the radio for the vent function there is also a blend door motor on the side (hot to cold) of the heater box.unplug the vent motor cycle the defrost/ floor knob and test for power . no power bad heater control .power present bad vent door motor. auto wreckers are the best place for these parts (cheapest) some will also test/ install

What is a blender/ it is suposed to a part of the heater area

The "blender" would refer to the blend actuators that change the flow of air from floor to vent to defrost or combinations. Properly working blend doors will allow you to direct air to the dash vents, the floor, the defroster, the floor and defroster or the floor and dash vents. If it is not working the heater will still work but you will hae no control oer where the air flows.
