Question about 1994 Lincoln Continental
after recent transmisson work or for other reasons our gas door cover is blowing the fuse 20 amp when we use it
and the horn stopped working. could someone suggest something we have tried to follow the circuitbut maybe some thing common and are the two problems connected in any way
thank you craig from canada........
Be sure to check your fuse first
Common problem. I had the same problem a couple of years ago. You have 2 horns located at the back side of the grill, in front of the radiator. I replaced mine with a couple of horns off of an old cadillac that my son wrecked.
To test your horn, you can run a wire directly from your battery positve post to your horn's wire terminal. (The horn is grounded to the body of the car thru the bolt attached to the horn bracket.)

The light can come on for many reasons. There are tons of different reasons, and the only way to know what it is telling you, is to hook it to a computer and have it decoded. You can have this done at autozone for free. Odds are there will be more than one code, because if something goes wrong, it effects other systems and reading from other sensors, so you need to be sure to consult a mechanic or dealer about the codes you find. They can tell you which one is the actual one causing the problems.
