Brakes are squealling

Two possible causes
Worn brake pads so Metal on Metal - leads to rotor damage leading to re machining of rotor (the big metal disk that the pads rub on )

Or Rotor has been worn down from machining and rotor is not dissipating heat and over heating

Brakes shuddering going down hill on a 2011 Toyota RAV4, what can I do?

Warped front rotors, replace or machine flat if they aren't worn below spec. Most parts shops can give you the specs for the rotors.

I had new pads installed on the front of my 2005 chevy equinox, the rotors were turned and it stops perfectly execpt the front right wheel always squeaks and is geting worse even though I used the 20/30...

I personally never have had one braking issue, in 47 years
of doing brake work,on any vehicles

That said & not to write book here

The brake work & choice of friction material
(brake pads) was not done correctly

Very few shops remove rust from anything
Rotor mounting surfaces,wheel hub surfaces,
calipers,caliper sliding surfaces,pad siding surfaces

Then they use no lube, so pads can move & release

They don't use MFG Specific & quality pads

A proper professional job would go for at least
$300.00 for front or back,just 2 wheels

Rotor machining is critical

I think your OEM Rotors that were machined, most likely
were okey new & not a good grade of Chinese Steel to
be machining

I just want to change brakes pad

That is not a good idea you should have the rotors machined or replaced, replacing brake pads with out replacement or machining your rotors is not safe to do this can cause your brakes to over heat and fail and cause insufficient and dangerous braking conditions such as grabbing pulsing locking.

1995 suburban the whole truck shakes when i apply the brakes and the pedal seems to pulse as it slows to a stop. I have changed the front pads calipers and rotors. no change ?

Now, did the mechanic even suggested anything about MACHiNiNG ur ROTOR brake disc before putting those brake pads? U got UNEVEN brake disc and needs MACHiNiNG to equally level the pads grip to the rotor! Do it i'm very sure of it! Taaah!

Shimmy when applying brakes

this problem is caused by the front brake rotors being warped, have them replaced or if they are thick enough have the re-machined true again, any Auto parts store can do this machining.

Wondering how much rotorers would cost new on a 2004 Jeep Liberty? Is it better to just buy new ones or have mine turned?

Rotors for the liberty are relatively inexpensive. You can pick up a set of PBR's for about 40.00. I have nothing against machining rotors, as long as you are not getting any kind of brake pulsing at the at the time of brake job. Once you start getting a brake pulse, I would just replace them. Other techs will have a different opinion on this, ad some will machine them till there is noting left to machine. But in my opinion, when it comes to safety, and reliability, and when you compare the price of the rotors, and the price of machining them, new is the way to go if this answer was sufficient and to your satisfaction, please rate me. Thank you
