Hi my 97 cavalier shifts semi hard 21-25 miles and hour lifting foot at this speed shifts smooth Mr Stern? I was told speed sensor there are 18 I bought front sensor because of heat eng/trans?

The firmer the shift, the longer the transmission will last. This is why people install "shift improver kits" and perhaps a prior owner did that to yours.

Take your car to a tire shop. Have the tires be inspected and balanced.

I have 97 cavalier not sure if i had gotten bad gas think so drove over 500 miles no problem went to different little gas station 40 min later driving started to have problems wanted to stall when trying...

use a tank of high test 93 octane, had the same type of problem with my 97 cavalier 2.2 ltr motor. If I would shut the car off for a few minutes and then restart it, it would drive normal again for a while. This would typically happen on hot days especially if you are sitting in traffic. A fillup with 93 octane gas for some reason would seen to solve the problems for a few weeks even after filling up with normal low octane 87 gas after the high octane fillup. I found no reason for this behavior and I am a mechanic all I know is that the car hasn't done this for me in some time and no repairs had been done, just one of those weird things cars do once in a while. mine has 277,000 miles and still running

I have a 2004 Chey cavalier and it only has 63000 miles and i let it sit for a year and i just put a new starter in there and it is not firring over what is wrong with my car

Be sure the battery posts and cables a real clean, it takes a lot of current to turn the starter and minor corrosion between the posts and cables is enough to cause this type of problem. Also, make sure the battery has no dead cells.
