Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ? Someone will need to check for spark on all cylinders and fuel pressure. You might try spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body to boost fuel supply and see if it helps. If it does that would tell you its a fuel problem.
I would suggest you take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. That will determine and pin point the problem. I would think that if the vehicle is fitted with the constant injection type of system, the problem could be flooding. If that is the case it will be better for a new fuel distributor to be fitted. If someone has tried to adjust the unit, it needs to be taken to a technician to reset the delivery valve setting, if not, its probably showing signs of wear. The symptoms you describe are common to flooding and what would happen if the fuel is wetting the plugs and stopping ignition. The time elapse you relate would give enough time for the fuel to evaporate and then allow the engine to start. Regards Johngee10
This could the problem with battery getting drain even if your car is parked , this could the problem in the wiring or the grounding in the car ,first check if any lights or the cd player has the power even if the car is parked ............................
