Noise when turning

Either your power steering fluid level is low, your power steering fluid needs to be replaced, or your power steering pump is failing.

S430 2002 is making noise when steer left or right, but goes away what could it be?

If its a groaning noise and its worse when cold it might be the power steering fluid is low, as the vehicle warms up the level rises and the pump stops sucking air, check the power steering fluid first

1996 lincoln town car cartier makes a steady groaning noise seems as if it comes from front of engine. Occurs continuously and then at times, not at all.

If it seems to get louder when you turn the steering wheel then check your power steering fluid level. If determined this is the cause of groaning sound but fluid level is right then you will need to bleed the air or the pump is going bad. Beyond that I need more info for further help.

When the weather gets warm the power steering makes a groaning noise. Could it be low on fluid?

Yes, check the fluid level and add if it is low. If you find it to be full then the pump may be going out. It may also have air trapped in the system especially if you let it get low of fluid before or this time. To remove the trapped air top it off and start the engine, then turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then to the right 5 times. If you find that is is low of fluid then you have a leak that needs repairing.

It makes a groaning noise when I turn the steering wheel left or right

Hi! You may have a power steering issue. Please check the power steering fluid level if its sitting on the Max or Hi level. IF its not, then you may need to re fill it to get rid of the annoying noise. Plus, running on an almost empty power steering fluid may damage the steering pinion. Hope this helps and have a good one!

My 2003 Buick Regal makes a load whinning sound when I turn. WHat could be causing this?

Hi, it could be a wheel bearing. if you turn left and you hear it it will be your right front bearing and visa-versa. could be the power steering belt that needs replacing, good luck with it.
