Question about 2002 GMC Yukon XL

2002 Yukon Running Lights

My daytime running lights (holders) have disintegrated. One fell apart completely and is gone. The other is VERY brittle. I need them both to work to pass an inspection (Pa). Does anyone know of an inexpensive place to get these plastic holders so that I can put it all back together?

Thanks

If you have a local ecology center or pick your part your should be able to pick them up there, most major manufacturers use the same lighting components like this in similar car and truck lines. Usually a buck to gain entry and the parts are very reasonable. You can splice the replacements in with crimp type electrical connectors.

Was the dodge caravan 2002 equipped with daytime running lights?

You can tell by looking at the headlight switch. Without daytime running lights, the switch only has 3 positions, "Off","park" and "headlights" with daytime there is a fourth position to use or not to use the daytime lights.

Daytime running lights and blinkers do not work

the lights are controlled by a module, it is the DRL module, replace it. also try this
On the inside of the car next to the light switch there is your dome light button. GM made it to where you could turn off the daytime running lights by pushing it three times in and out. Turn the vehicle on then do this. Your daytime running lights should work after this.

Online 1996 gmc yukon headlight schematic? free?

It sounds like it's your Headlight switch has gone bad, I'm thinking that the high beams are the daytime running light which is the same as your High beams.
If you go to Auto Zone or Parts Source, they have the replacement switch with step by step instructions. Try not to run your Headlights too long from your running light's. The headlight's draw more amps then the running lights and can melt the wire which can result in a short and worst a fire.
If you remove the headlight switch from the dash, check the orange wire for power, if there is 12 volts. Good chance's are that the switch is bad, common on the GM's.
Good luck and hope this helps. I believe they go around $70.00 or do what most guys do. Salvage Yard range from $10.00 to $40.00 and there also have warranty.

Make sure the parking brake is fully disengaged. If the brake is down one click, the running lights go out, however the brake indicator light would be on if this was the case.

2002grand am daytime running lights

99 - 04 grand am.

I had the "service vehicle soon" light come twice with in 1 year. First the heald light bulbs were gone. Replaced the head light bulbs and after 2 starts the "service vehicle soon" light was gone.

The second time the DRL - #194 amber bulbs were gone. Replaced these and the "service vehicle soon" light was gone after 2 starts. The DRLs are housed in the headlamp housing, the tiny bulbs beside the head light.
