Safe mode in Audi Symphony radio

Hi Perino-
I saw your post last month offering to get codes for Audi radios in safe mode. Could you please help me? I bought a used 2000 Audi A6 and the radio must have been changed previously because the code in the manual doesn't unlock it and the serials are different.
My symphony serial: AUZ5Z4X0038063
My vin, if you need it: WAUED24B1YN073424
Thanks for your efforts,
Tien

I had to take my 2000 Audi A6 to the dealership to get my code.
It took about 10 minutes and was $45.00us but they did give me the code on my receipt for future reference.
I scoured the internet through and through trying to avoid having to take it in.
After reading many articles like this every solution ended in "Take it to the dealership"
Symphony did an amazing job of programming these lock codes to help prevent theft. We can be thankful of that at least.

Hi, i removed battery from my audi a6 2001 and now my radio is in safe mode. i think i have the right code but do not know how to enter it, please help!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of programming for 2001 Audi A6 radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.

The radio is now ready for use!

Just recently my battery died and I got a change in now my Radio is in cd safe mode. The radio or cd wont come on or work. When I bought the Audi A6 Quatt, 2000 it did nt have a manuel book. So I'm just...

You need to call dealer and provide your VIN# for the code. It's a theft deterrent issue and dealer is only source. After you get code write it down in glovebox w/Sharpie for future refs.

I have a 2001 Audi A6 symphony 4b0 035 195A, auz5z4y0144932 with safe mode on can anyone retrieve the unlock code for me, I bought the car and the guy didn't give me the code, thanks!

The radio code is only obtainable from an Audi dealer. They would have to e -mail Audi with the vehicle details and the radio serial no to get the radio code. They would then enter the code for you.

How do i reset a sterio code for a 2000 audi a6

urn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3,and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. Soon afterwards a frequency will be displayed.

AUDI A6 RADIO CODE

I just posted a solution for this problem. It comes straight from the radio manual. The dealer should have told you this. If you want him to do it he'll charge money for his time. IF YOU LOST YOUR CODE. THE DEALER CAN HELP YOU OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE: dd43c71.jpg
