Question about 1997 GMC Jimmy
I replaced the power steering pump because the bearings wore out in the old one. I got everything put back together when i started it, there was power steering fluid all over the engine. Afterwards i then proceeded to check the 2 lines that i took off, all were tight and dry. The fluid is running out somewhere around the oil filter. The only thing i can think of is a bad power steering line. Any help is appreciated.
Hello it sounds like the high pressure line probaly has a pin hole or possible lek at the factory crimp first thing i would do is have somone start the car turn the wheel all the way to one side the pressure will build up while looking with a flash light look then you may have to put on ramps if it cant be seen from top goodluck
