you tested fuel pump? How? Are you getting spark?

Car does not run. No fuel pressure to fuel injectors. inline filter cannot be located in engine compartment. Need wiring diagram for fuel pump circuit to check fuse and voltage to relay if applicable.

Rough idle on a 97 Pontiac sunfire even after replacing coil packs and ignition module like obd scanner said was wrong

to start you should lokk at your injectors, maybe try picking up injection cleaner and if that does not work you might have to check your engine compression for a possible burned valve, bad cam and or lifter. good luck

It wont start it will turn over like it wanted to start at first now it wont even do that. now we have to spray starter fluid on it to start it. so what might be the problem

This may be caused by a bad fuelpump and spraying starts because it gets power for a while and the fuel flows until pump kicks in, have the computer scanned for any stored codes to see if the computer picked up a problem if not then have a fuel preasure gauge put on the fuel rail and see if the pump has any pressure when you try to start it, if it has pressure then it may be the injectors, but if there no pressure then i would say its the pump.

Check for vacuum leaks. Fuel filter clogged? Check spark plug wires and make sure spark plugs are gapped correctly. Get fuel injection cleaned.

Ok. my car 97 pontiac sunfire needed a new alternator output cable. guy put a new one on but apparently messed with something else and now its not starting. said the theft light came on and that it isnt...

Tell the guy to call the dealer and ask them how to override the anti theft system or reset it. when you disconnect the battery and lose power it kicks on the anti theft device and it won't get fire.

1997 sunfire won`t start

are you getting continuous spark? bad electronic module? check spark first. should be continuous. do you have oil pressure...some vehicles won't run if oil pressure is not there.

My 1999 pontiac sunfire takes about 5 to 10 sconds to start up unless you push the gas when you turn the key. is it a fuel pump or something different?

I would get a fuel pressure test before committing to the pump. If the test is bad try changing the fuel filter first. If the test is good check your spark.

GAS IN ENGINE OIL

The engine is running way to rich, that would be the only reason for gas in the oil, things that cause a rich mixture are leaking fuel injectors or to much fuel pressure, have these checked by a shop, also do u have a check engine light?
