Question about 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4WD
You need the security code that is on the security card that came with the car. if you dont have that then the dealer can get it by taking out the radio, the code should be written on the top of it.

I called around and was told to take it to the dealership so I did. It cost me about $90.00 with the labor. I saw them remove the dash in order to reset the code. It looked complicated. Needless to say I have since replaced the factory radio and haven't had problems.
