Question about 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser
Model Toyota Land cruiser VX 80 a second hand imported from Japan and can not turn left or right. I changed already the pump and power steering box but still the same so i retain the old power steering box. need some help on how to fix this problem.
Just check your car does not have differential locks, in theory they should not come on without being switched on but they can fail in the 'on' position. Lift both front wheels and see if the steering is stiff with the engine running, if it is then the 'locker' is not to blame. If it is now free then look at the locker and see if it has seized,

Hard to tell without looking, but, my best guess is, if both the pump and box are working properly, you may have seized ball joints, or seized "Rzeppa" joints. The Rzeppa joint is inside the big "ball & socket" thingy at each end of the front axle tube. On top of the ball/socket assembly, there is a plug. Open it & see if there is any lube in there. It just may be dry; this is maintenance item, and it is commonly ignored by Landcruiser owners.
