1991 Camaro Hi,(305 auto) when the car starts the idle rpm inflactuates from 600rpm up to 1400rpm then back down till warm up. Then stays steady at 600rpm. Can it be my o2 sensors?

Have replaced the IAC and thought about seafoam but the car if fine when warmed up. Power is ther won't hesitate nor stall at idle just at start up. Recieves gas just splurs for a few minutes.

No - the O2 sensors are ignored while the engine is cold. They have to be up around 900 degrees to work. Your car runs on preprogrammed throttle/fuel/timing maps when the engine is cold, and only goes into open-loop operation (taking O2 sensor feedback) once the sensors are up to temperature. I'd clean the idle control valve (try a product called Seafoam and allow it to be sucked into a running engine through a manifold vacuum line - use about a coffee mug full of it) - it'll clean things out nicely. You may find that it smooths out the car nicely.

Try cleaning the connector for the throttle position sensor and for the mass airflow sensor - you may be having issues with those. If you have an intake air temp sensor, that could also be causing your problem.

Not a oo2 but maybe a IAC (idle air controll ) you should try and clean it with carb cleaner before replacing it.

It sounds like you have mosture (water) in the fuel system. Go to your auto supply and get a can or two of water remover to put in the fuel tank. If you are in a wet climate and your fuel level in the tank was low when you parked it that is most likely your problem.

hi, i need to know something about your car in order to help you.
does your car have a distributor or 2 coil packs under the manifold.
there is 2 different problems.
i think your prob is your fuel pump breaking down under load, its common, get back to me 1st with my question before u do anything.

91 camaro not tpi it starts up fine but until it warms up you try

idle air control is used for assisting in fold starts. It sounds like its not functioning propperly. FYI your car is not carberated, its called a throttle body.
