A wire broke underneath my car it is connected to my gas i reattached it and the gas lights went back to normal but now when i try to start it it is as if my car is getting no fuel does the gas have a shut off for when things like this happen or do i have other problems

i dont understand what wire your talking about exactly however on the starter where it connects does it bolt on or push on if its a bolt on just go by at the local store a round eyelet crimp fitting with wire shrink it is like 6 bucks at the parts store
It could be the relay, which is a yellow box located under the carpeting in the trunk on the left side. It is a problem common to your model. Also, check the brake switch's (behind the brake pedal) functionality (12V present with key at ACC or ON and continuity between wires when button engaged).
YOUR problem is the carby acc pump and idle jet ...... what you need to do is remove airfilter and take the top off the carby and you should see a small ball and spring under gasket ...when you open the throttle it will pump petrol to the small pick up jet and the other jet will take over ...clean out carby jets and rebuild and that should be ok
