My van recently started acting funny. Going down the road my speedometer suddenly dropped to 0 and the engine started dieing, but then speedometer started working again and the engine picked back up. It did that a few times. I did the trouble shooting code for it and it came up 12, 37, and 21. Can you tell me what these codes mean and what may be wrong with my van?
12 - battery recently disconnected.
21 - Oxygen sensor signal doesn't change (stays at 4.3 - 4.5 V) possibly bad O2 sensor
37 - Transmission temp. sensor reading low.
There are many options that can cause these problems, but loose wiring to the battery and a weak alternator would be one of the first things to check.

Could be different problems. The cluster issue could be a problem in the printed circuit board inside the cluster. The cooling fan problem could be low coolant, a blown fuse, a faulty temp sensor, fan motor, or relay.
Please define the word "slipping" for me. To me it means the transmission is "slipping", the van is going down the road, and then the engine RPM's are still there, but the van keeps slowing down ? You try to put on more acceleration, but the engine revs up higher, but you go nowhere ?
Please let me know.
your van has an obd1 setup with dodge all you should have to do is turn key to ign to off 5 times without starting vehicle and the check engine light will flash the code for example it will start off with a code 12 i believe saying the computer is functioning the check engine will flash 1 pause flash 2 pause and will repeat a total of three times just write down all the codes when it gets to code 55 it is done hope this is helpful
The buzzing sound is from the torque convertor lock up solenoid, there is a fuse for this under the hood to verify thats the problem from the buzzing, next where did you get the vss,if it's not oem from a dealer than I would think it's the problem also using a obii scan tool check and clear any codes,so as far as not starting is this from a dead battery or other issue I would unhook the vss and see if it can start.
