I need to find out how many car seats can be put in the back of a 1996 chevy blazer. I was just informed that some blazers do not allow instalation of a car seat in the middle....is this true for the 1996? Someone please help. I really need this info, thank you.

Do a compression test on all of your cylinders when it is cold. Backfiring is a sign of a worn valve seat allowing mixed fuel and air (lit by spark) to be forced back into the intake. You will probably see compression loss on one or more cylinders.
Also... there is a chance that the EGR valve is not totally seated when the engine is cold with just a small blow by. The EGR valve seats coke up over time with black gunk.
there is a orange wire on the seat connector. follow it under the floor mat just under where you put your feet down . that gets corroded and breaks loose. fixed mine twice in 10 years and still working
