I have a 1997 audi A4 with a delta cc radio. I just changed the battery and realized that I can't find my radio code anymore. Any way to get one?

Dealership. Its expensive to retrieve the code. $125.00 to $175.00 i think the dealerships run a scam on this. You will need two special keys to remove the systen to get to the serial number

Go to the dealership with your registration, title, and photo ID. They'll look it up for you based on the VIN of the car. Be prepared to pay up to an hour's labor for this though (which is ridiculous, but they do it often). Also, make sure they write the code down for you and don't just have a tech enter it - you don't want to have to pay them again if something else happens.

Radio codes are only available from Audi dealers. You need to give them your vehicle chassis and engine No's as well as the radio serial no.

Don't know the radio reset code. Is there a factory reset?

You need to call an Audi/VW dealership and have the auz code off the back or side of the stereo, which means you have to pull out the stereo. Also you have to give the dealer your VIN # and then they can look it up for you. They may try to tell you they have to hook it up to a computer, thats BS! They will try to get you to bring it in. You have to know what you are talking about when you call, or they will give you some lame excuse to get you to bring it in. They are required to give it to you for free if you tell them the radio code isn't in the owners' manual given to you with the car.

Good luck.

And search through the audizine.com forums or any other audi forum, it will tell you what you need. You may even be able to get someone who posts on the forum and works at a dealership to look it up for you, if you ask nice.

Radio reset code for 1998 a4 audi

I had the exact same problem on my 1998 Audi A4 Quattro Sedan I just purchased. I read a couple of other posts that said to try looking for the radio code in the spare tire compartment in the trunk. Sure enough on the right hand side of the compartment was a information label and on it someone had written the code 1174 in pen. I then left the key in the ignition and the radio on for an hour. Then I pushed the DX and FM1/2 button and the same time until the "1000" number appeared on the display. Then I pushed in the code 1174 using the 1 - 4 tuner buttons. For example the number 1 key I pushed until the number 1 appeared. Then pushed button number 2 until the number 1 appeared, pushed button 3 until the number 7 appeared and button 4 until number 4 appeared. After I had the code 1174 on the display, you again push the DX and FM1/2 button at the same time and the radio unlocked and worked perfectly. I hope that this helps. I have the Delta (Bose) AM/FM Cassette radio in my car. Good Luck!!
