    Good day;

When you say jumps you mean that it bounce up and down? If this is the case try this with the vehicle just sitting their push down on the front of your vehicle, to get it bouncing it should NOT be to easy to bounce the vehicle. Let me know what happens.

How to inspect a used car

Most used cars come "as-is" or with a limited warranty. Evaluate the price against the cost of needed repairs.A car should start easily and idle reasonably smoothly. Check that all warning lights come on when you turn the ignition and after completely starting the car, go off. Test drive the car for at least 10 miles show any warm-running problems.
Reject a car if:
  1. You hear the engine knocking.
  2. The oil or coolant warning lights come on or gauge readings are abnormal.
  3. An automatic transmission slips on acceleration, grinds or whines, or does not shift smoothly up and down.
  4. The clutch shudders or the manual transmission grinds, squeals, or jumps out of gear.
  5. There is more than 2 inches of steering wheel free play, roughness when you turn the wheel, or car wandering on smooth roads.
  6. The body shakes objectionably at speeds under 55 m.p.h. on decent roads.
  7. The exhaust blows blue smoke (oil) or it blows white smoke (water vapor) on a warm, dry day or for more than a few minutes on a cool day. black smoke is usually a minor fuel problem.
Checking out a car:
Brake hard at 25 m.p.h; the car should come to a straight stop. A car that rides poorly on bad roads is because of worn shock absorbers or that has poor braking will need work, but this may be normal for it's age. With the engine still running, look underneath the car/truck for an oil leak. Have a trustworthy mechanic evaluate any such leaks you find (prior to purchase). Check all accessories. Look for lubrication stickers on the door or under the hood for evidence of regular maintenance. Take the car to a professional mechanic, he can detect some problems, evaluate your road-test report, and tell you the cost of necessary repairs. If your state mandates an emissions test, he will be able to tell you if the car will pass or not.

Please rate the tip if you found it useful, thanks!

My 2007 Chevrolet Impala has some rear suspension problem. First noticed on snowy/icy road conditions traveling at 50 mph, the car was swaying, fish tailing with no traction. Later noticed when driving...

Replace rear shock absorbers.
Their function is to maintain contact between tires and floor. When they are worn the wheels spend too much time in the air without any traction.

Why is it that my Kia sorento car jumps on rough road.

Bouncing on a rough road would be an indication the struts, shocks are worn out...If your suspension is so stiff that it bounces...the design must be for excellent street handling...not off road performance.

Jeep grand cherokee steering problems

Looks like suspension problem on shocks.
Did you have your suspension checked by underchasis techs/garage?
Just try to push one side of the vehicle up and down, if it bounces when you release it, means your shock absorber is not working anymore and that's the time you have to replace it.Upgraded shocks would be better to replace it, use GAS type shocks.
The stabilisers works only when turning at high speed and uneven roads.
Hope that helps!

Chock absorber very strong drops , the car id unstable on the road and if there is even a small change one the road its jumps up and down very stronly , even the tea cub will jump from holder

check your shocks look to see if they are wet looking if not that does mean that there not bad if you push down on the car easliy then you have a shock proplem replace the shocks and also check the sway bar, bushings and sway bar end links if they are worn out they can make your car fill unstable also. hope this help good luck.

Rough ride

Sounds like the shocks are bad. If you inspect the shocks, you may see leakage. This is an indication that you have a bad shock absorber. Not knowing how long you've owned the car, have no idea the last time the shocks were replaced but this would be the first place I'd look. Good luck and write back with any questions or concerns.

Rough idle, steady idle of 1500rpm's when you crank, jerking down the road with idle jumping

1999 Surburban. Rough idle when engine is cold for about 3-5 min and then it starts to smooth out. Any ideas why the engine would act like this?.
