Question about 1996 Cadillac DeVille
I just replaced one on my 96 deville. the blower motor is on the fire wall. There is not enough room to get it out so the engine has to be moved forward. motor mount bolts are easy to see up front. u need a special tool to do this though. u can probably rent it. this will insure u get the engine back where it belongs. once u replace the blower motor you will have to turn the car on then off and on again. (at least i had to, i thought it didnt work at first).

First guy was closer, blower motor is mounted in the engine compartment toward the fire wall center.you will need 2 jack stands and a jack, lift the front ofthe car you dont have to lift it very far put the jack stands under each side of the body pinch welds right where it tells you to put the jack for changing a tire.let car down on to jack stands. now with the under the front of the engine subframe lift slightly, take the two front sub frame bolts out, and slowly lower front of sub frame to gain enough room between engine and the fire wall to remove blower motor.you will also have to remove the cross support between the struts. that should get it done.

I just had mine done u can buy a used blower motor for about 50 dollors or new at 300 dallors but i must warn u its located on the left side of the fire wall or passinger side underneth the hood and u have to have a tool to move the motor forward to be able to get enough room in that area to get the blower motor in this tool is attached on the top mount holes where the top strutts conect u have to remove them and thats where the tool goes to pull the motor and pulls the motor to the left side or toward the front of the motor i dont have the tool but my freind did and i dont know what they cost if u can get that tool the blower motor is a piece fo cake to put in.

The blower motor is on the passenger side of the front seats, pull the carpet back and you will see it there. Make sure it's not the little computer sitting right next to the blower instead of the blower. When you turn the temp down to 65 does the little orange colored AC button light up? If not, it's the climate control computer which is sitting next to the blower.
