Re: air suspension problem
Your car will bottom out if air leaks out.
there are two options replace the airbags with new airbags
or replace with crown vic coil springs.
I recently bought new air bags from ebay brand new for like 230 for set
these were from arnott suspension and were very nice quality lifetime warranty
if you look on ebay you will see the conversion kit for coil springs also
Look online and get the bag that is leaking in order to save money on the compressor and labor. The airbag is only $84 new aftermarket. Keep in mind the other will go soon so it is good to change both. The only other solution is to convert it to coil and shock for $287 (kit). It is a simple install that will last for three times longer than the airbag system. Good luck

Those Lincolns are notorious for that,I'd just get a set of coil springs out of a Crown Victoria cop car(junk yard)and swap them out.Done it many times, you can do it in about an hour, and they'll never leak down again.By the way, there's some O-rings in that system.Make some soapy water and spray every connection, just maybe you'll get lucky.
You have a pin hole between the compressor and the rear shocks/strut assembly's,or the compressor is not operating properly. Is the check engine light on? If so has the codes been checked ,and what is the code? To check the vaccum lines use soapy water ,The rearend is supposed to squat down during HWY. driving to be more aero dynamically sound. .
Air suspension is controlled by the compressor in your engine compartment. The compressor runs when the suspension is not level. Either because you have loaded the car with exceptional weight and the system is now adjusting the ride, or you have a leak in the system, or you have a bad sensor.
If you have a leak, the most likely culprit are the air suspension bags, the air suspension solenoids or possibly the lines to them.

I don't work for either of them. I own a 96 TC and have replaced my air suspension with coil springs form Strutmasters. Work GREAT and I have no more air suspension problems. Rides just as good too. You can't tell the difference.
