Can i have a diagram on how to change a universal joint for a 91 mazda b2200

Posted on Aug 27, 2011

They sell a ujoint kit for the two ujoints that aren't replacable the front one and the rear one the center joint is replacable. the front and rear are staked in and you have to grind the little tabs out, then you can press the old joints out and replace them with the new joints that accept a snap ring just like the center joint. I have just done this on my 91 b2200 so i know it can be done. the parts store should have number for the joints just tell them you have the staked in u-joints

1989 mazda b2200 ujoints will not seperate from the rear driveshaft. the repair manual says there are supposed be c-clips holding the ujoints in and I cant see them. Anyone run into this problem?

yes i have they are realy hard to see you have to get the cv joints realy clean inside to be able to see them, thy are not where you would think they are, where the bearings are you have a shell like thing where they sit, where the shaft goes into it the c clips is about 1/4" inside you have to use two screw drivers flat end type and prize them appart, best way is to clamp the shaft and when you get the c clip far enough appart the cv joint just falls off...hope this helps

most of the time that is the clutch causing it to do that. trying going up a hill again in frist and push the gas to the floor if the rpm rev up real high like the truck is in neutral then you need a new clutch. try the engine restore it comes in a sliver can your local auto store will have it. it is about $6 a can. but other than that you might just have to rebuild the motor. hope this helps

Is it standard shift??? if so, look under the truck and see if the drive shaft is turning. It could be the clutch, U-joint, or the rearend gone out.

I have 1987 Mazda B2200 2.2 ltre, turns, fires, no fuel psi.

I had something like this before. There is a fuel saftey switch near the gas tank right by the rear end. Its a roll over sensor and mine fell off the mount and I guess the truck thought it was upside down :)

Mazda b2200, 1989 109000 miles. Vibration, seems to be in the front end, when moving between 30-40 mph, 3rd or 4th gear. Vibration still exists when not in gear, manual transmition. Tires are new and...

I have the same thing but mine is between 45-50 mph. I read about this a while back in a magazine for people that pull campers, the problem exists in all vehicles although its not as noticeable in every thing you ride in. There is a certain "point" at which your speed and engine speed reach, that causes a phenomonon that causes a vibration. Engineers relate it to "harmonics" which is a similar issue but in the electronic field of study. There is nothing you can do for it, and it varies from unnoticeable in some vehicles to driving you insane in my 1989 Mazda B2200. I had an '89 Ford F-150 that did it at 35 mph and a 2001 Dodge Diesel that did it at 45 mph, but those were the only three vehicles I've ever driven and noticed it.
