if you know the firing order, then get #1 on TDC, and then take the cap off, the rotor should be pointing forward, thats where number 1 wire should go.
check the plug wires to make sure there in the right firing order then i would recheck the timing once again the roter can be just a little off and you should be able to get it started if that dont work i would check the timing chain.
