Question about 2005 Toyota Corolla

1 Answer

Scratched windshield I had my Altis windshield detailed at a neighborhood auto shop with the hope that they can remove bothersome watermarks. To my horror, my windshield ended up with scratches and faded portions. It is so noticeable and very irritating especially at night. Can my windshield still be fixed?

Are there any cheap repairs for an old pitted scratched up windshield?

No but shop around and likely find installed price around $220~$250. Your safety depends upon seeing clearly. If you have many pits they create micro stars at night with oncoming vehicle lights obscuring clarity of your vision. Ditto with evening or early morning sunlight. Your choice, drive safe with a clear vision windshield or face the consequences of an accident.

Toyota corolla altis 2003, driver side power window is not working properly when using the auto button, if you close the window using the auto button it automatically closing but when it reaches to the end...

I had the same problem with my 2002 Altis. I found a solution after a lot of research and reading in the web.

1. Remove the power window motor from the regulator (mechanism).
2. Reconnect the power motor to the electronic controller(switches).
3. Perform "Auto Down" an wait until the motor stops.
4. Put a mark in the motor gear.
5. Perform "Manual Up" slowly until the gears rotates around 6 times but not greater than 10 times.
6. Remove the motor from the electronic controller.
7. Re-assemble whole power window assembly.
