Question about 2002 Volkswagen Passat
How extensive is it to replace a bulb in the front passenger side of a vw passat? I don't know if I need to remove the the air intake hose or the flange running across the top front of the engine compartment. Do u have a play by play so I know what I'm getting into?
Yes.... You gotta remove the air intake piece. It's plastic so it's very simple to do. Instead of a generic answer such as a website and search, here's the direct LINK where to go with the full step by step guidance on how to do this. Its a PDF document with pictures. Be prepared, though, as it's very limited space you'll be working in. Http://home.comcast.net/~slashpub/headlights/ReplacingHeadlightBulbs.pdf That link is what's mentioned here: http://www.mohea.com/mike/words/000735.html Just know that if you're ever gonna change fog lights (if your car is equipped with them) it's a whole new ball game... LoL (we had to remove the full lower bumper to get to them) Let me know if the address doesn't work and I'll guide you to another. Hope this helps.
