2002 vw passat/ front blinker replacement

How extensive is it to replace a bulb in the front passenger side of a vw passat? I don't know if I need to remove the the air intake hose or the flange running across the top front of the engine compartment. Do u have a play by play so I know what I'm getting into?

Yes.... You gotta remove the air intake piece. It's plastic so it's very simple to do. Instead of a generic answer such as a website and search, here's the direct LINK where to go with the full step by step guidance on how to do this. Its a PDF document with pictures. Be prepared, though, as it's very limited space you'll be working in. Http://home.comcast.net/~slashpub/headlights/ReplacingHeadlightBulbs.pdf That link is what's mentioned here: http://www.mohea.com/mike/words/000735.html Just know that if you're ever gonna change fog lights (if your car is equipped with them) it's a whole new ball game... LoL (we had to remove the full lower bumper to get to them) Let me know if the address doesn't work and I'll guide you to another. Hope this helps.

Where is the secondary air pump on a 2002 VW Passat 1.8t front wheel drive?

The secondary air pump is located on the passenger side frame rail. You can find it by locating the ribbed air tube that is connected to the air box and following it to the air pump.

Good luck

Passenger side front blinker dim and blinks fast

I would change out the dim bulb. usually blinkers blink when you have a bulb out either in the back or front blinker.if both are good then I would replace the flasher.

My front passenger side blinker won't work. The rear one works fine. The dash indicator flashes really quick now too.

usually this is because of a blown bulb, replace the front passenger bulb and tell me if it helps.

The left front blinker is out on my 1984 VW Rabbit Convertible (German Made.)  I replaced the bulb, still not working. I need to know which fuse to replace.

If the other blinker works it is not the fuse something is wrong with the socket for the blinker or a poor ground look at the filiment on the bulb I have had brand new bulbs blow out immediately after changing.

My blinker on the front on the passenger side is not working and the rear blinker is rapidly blinking, what causes that?

If you replace the front bulbs and it still does it, it means that you have bad blinker wires. the 99 has a TERRIBLE wiring design for the signals so if you can replace the whole thing, you will be better off then replacing bulbs every 5 seconds. I have yet to do it on mine but that is what is causing mine to do the same thing.
