No the code came in your owner manual, you will need your vin number as well as the serial number off the radio if you do not have the code. Turn your car in the on position for an hour let it go back to code then enter the code you get for FREE from the dealership or call Mitsubishi customer service who will give it to you for free.

My radio/CD player constantly says "ERR" and CD's won't play anymore. It doesn't show the time or the radio station either, just "ERR". I can hear it, like it's trying...

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio
must likely the cd is stock or more likely the cd drive motor is defective .
FIRST try pushing eject on radio and see CD comes out if not you need a new radio .

good luck vote

What is the pass code?

Some radios have an antitheft feature built in. When the power is disconnected (like in replacing a battery or if the radio was removed or stolen from a car) then you have to enter a code to activate it. Call the dealer and ask if they can help you with the code and procedures. Your owner's manual should have the procedure listed in it but the code should have been in the papers that came with your car when it was new. Again the dealer is your best bet. They will need your vehicle VIN and maybe even the radio serial number. There are some web sites that offer to sell you radio codes but I have had good luck with the dealers giving me them free.

I don't have the manual for a 2000 volvo s70.

you have to turn the key to position 1 where the radio comes on but not your instrument panel. then leave it on this position for 2 hrs. the word "code" will come on instead of "off".Then you have to put in your 4 digit security code. to obtain this, call a volvo dealer and have them run your vin. they may ask for proof of ownership. if the radio has never been changed out, this will fix it for you! the radio says "code" if the battery was disconnected, and if the wrong code was punched in 3 times, it went to "off" :-) if you have difficulty, email me at savolvo at yahoo directly.

Radio won't restart after battery change

Sometimes it takes MUCH longer than the 4 hours (up to 8).
Neat system, huh? By the time it resets, your battery is dead and it will shut off again!!! No wonder the stock radio hardly ever gets stolen. Put a trickle charger on the battery, and leave it on for longer. (Make sure your insurance covers theft lol, I did it once and forgot that the key was in my car in the driveway for a full day)
