Well, I can tell you how to change the headlight but if you want pictures I will post this video for you that shows you how to change the headlight on your 97 Sunfire. The video is for a 1997 Grand Prix which is the same for the 1997 Sunfire.

most often if you examine the back of the headlight assembly you will see that the bulbs come out the rear with a twist and gentle pull. open the hood and look down.
I believe the entire headlight
has to be removed to get to the back where you can twist out the old
one and install the new one. There is 2 bolts holding it in and i
believe they are either a 12 or 13mm bolt size, the bulb code should be a 9007 type. Good luck
Probably a bad ground or bad connection on the headlight that's dim. Try wiggling the wires on the bulb connection if that's not the problem/ Try and find where that headlight gets it's ground.
