RE: Fuel Gage

I have a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 4 door. My fuel gage is always on E and the low fuel light is constantly on. What do you think the problem is, the fuel sending unit or floater?

Thanks

The sending unit is the culprit, most likely the arm for the float is detached.

My fuel gage shows low fuel just filled the tank, when idleing the light comes on says low fuel and needle drops ?????

you most likely have a fault in the fuel sensor that sits inside the fuel tank.

will need to be replaced if you cannot stand the annoying low fuel beep that will keep coming on.

The fuel gage is not reading correctly. The fuel gage bounces around what could be the issue

99% OF THE TIME THE FUEL SENDING SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE. ITS LOCATED ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP ASSSEMBLY. ITS ABOUT 60-70 BUCKS FROM YOUR LOCAL DEALER. U HAVE TO TAKE THE TANK DOWN TO GET TO IT

Fuel gauge only works when full, when it gets low it starts to bounce all over the place.

There are only two possibilities. The fuel sending unit in the tank, or the dash mounted gage unit.
I suspect the fuel sender.

Check gage light comes on for 2004 chevrolet trailblazer''

Check gauge light can come on for a number of different things, from Low fuel to low oil pressure to high engine temperatures. When the light comes on check all the gauge's and see whats causing it, one or more of the gauge's will be showing an issue, Low fuel or low oil pressure, Low battery power. Any of the mentioned things can cause it... Figure out whats causing it then you can remedy the situation...

Fuel level sensor in tank bad????

Yes it is all one unit, and yes that is what the problem is. don't use aftermarket parts, use OEM, (Delco Remy) they are much better quality.
