Is there anything on the inside of the pan that may be still keeping it on because the engine was not sitting on the pan and the sub frame had been removed we even got the bolt that goes in from the transmission case into the oil pan and it still will not come off... do you have a book on it and if so could i get pictures or the instructions out of it?

What you have to do is remove the 2 front sub-frame bolts, this allow clearance for the oil pan.
Torque for oil pan bolts 15 Ft. Lbs (20 N.m)

and thank you sooooooo much!!!! as for the oil pan its a good thing i
did or i would of got the wrong one... the one they were gonna sell me
was for a v-6 he didnt even ask me and i didnt know there were so many
engines in the quattro from what i was able to find online lol... they
only had one car like mine and it was missing the small oil pan but
thats ok i have that part and its good just the cast aluminum piece has
a huge hole in it lol so thats the only part i need but ya i was about
to cry i spent all my money going up there to come home empty handed i
just lost my job and im a single mom... this car is gonna be my saving
grace from a 2002 pontiac grand prix
se that i am in the middle of buying and sinking fast on! its a lemon
and theres nothing i can do about it so im anxious to get my Audi up
and running!
