Failed head gasket, broken valve or or broken piston ring.
Spill a bit of thick oil through the spark plug hole to the cylinder and then recheck the compression. If compression value increses then it means you have problems with the piston / piston rings/ cylinder wall.
did you noticed whitish smoke on exhaust/ high pressure in the cooling system/ bubbles in the expansion tank/ deposits on oil dipstick? If yes, you got blown your head gasket
If low compression value, but no pressure in cooling nor white smoke, deposits on oil dipstick, could mean broken/locked/bent valve(s)
If this engine is a petrol direct injection engine, it could be some dirt on the inlet valve, is a frequent problem on direct injection engines, due to the fact, the crankcase breather is plummed into the inlet, the oil vapours are getting back to the inlet, but the inlet valves are not vashed by the gasoline as on a multipoint indirect gasoline injection, where the fuel is sprayed on the proximity of the inlet valves, washing the oil and other dirts from the hot surface of the valve. In direct injection, the valves are remaining "dry", and the deposits can stick to and cooked so hard, that it should prevent the full closing of the valve.

You possibly have a warped head or blown head gasket.

My 1986 mercedes 300e runs hot i replaced the thermastat

Hi,first of all worm the car up to running tempriture, put your hand on the water pipe that is coming from the fermastate is it hot if so try the one at the bottom of the radiater to see if that is hot if that is hot then the radiater is fine, nexst turn engine off, then undo the oil cap to see if your oil has a musterd colour for oil if oil is ok,then you will have to do a compresion test to see if there is one of your cylinders has low compresion.
some times you can have a broken head gasket which can couse uneven running due to water going into the cylinder.
I hope its not bad and a easy fix this is just to give you food for thought, best of luck.

Fan works compreser will not engage can unplug wires from dryer jump cross and compreser will this low pressure side and just need 8oz of 134a or do need to check other parts of system?PIEASE...

Yes, usually low charge. Add a 14 oz can and see if it works then. It helps to have fill hose with gage with safwe zone on it, so you can watch after adding.
