When you live in really cold climates it is important to run more antifreeze so the water does not freeze and blow out a freeze plug. i live in california where its always warm so i run a 50/50. i would imagine alaska gets pretty cold so i would probably run more antifreeze

Whats right coolant mix for laguna petrol 2004,

Depends on where you live. 50/50 gets you to - 20 degrees. You live in Florida, use more water. Alaska, use more anti freeze.

2004 Kia low heat at idle hiway speeds ok

On these and many other vehicles, use a vacuum refill coolant air lift. This removes all air in the cooling system and then fills the cooling system fully with coolant.

Running hot while idling.. i change the thermostat, what could the problem be?

KIA SEDONA HAS REAR HEAT BUT NOT FRONT HEAT BLOWERS WORK BUT ONLY COLD AIR COMES IN FRONT

This could be a serious problem. Check your coolant level, then check the rear heater lines that supply coolant to the rear heater. They run under the van, over time they rust and leak. Because it is under and to the rear of the van it is hard to notice, i.e. coolant puddles and smell. But please note that this engine has aluminum cylinder heads and does not take kindly to being overheated.

My kia rio stalled on the freeway today ,but just before it stalled it made a kind of tapping sound then white smoke came out of the throttle body?

First check the oil and coolant levels. You may have a broken timing belt. White smoke is usually due to coolant burning in the combustion chamber. (Head gasket)

No abs light on dash soft brakes

The most likely cause of your problems is a bad master cylinder. If you have had any recent brake work done then it could just be air in the system.
