I have a 2004 sun fire I can hear air coming in when the widows are up sounds like it is come from the dash

Has the windshield been replaced? If so, it's possible that the seals were not set properly and air is in fact coming in from the sides or top of the windshield. You should check to see if the chrome molding around the windshield or the rubber seals that may be exposed appear to be damaged in any way. If you had the windshield replaced, the shop that handled the repair should be willing to fix if for you.

If the culprit is really the windows, you need to have the rubber gaskets repaired to create a better seal. Sometimes they come loose and droop a bit. A body shop can check them and glue them back in place if you aren't able to handle the task. If you are able and willing, an auto supply store can set you up with a tube of adhesive that will do the trick. If the rubber gaskets are cracked and torn in spots, this will cause an annoying air leak and they will need to be removed and replaced.

If you can't figure out where the noise is coming from as you drive, have a second person ride along and listen to the wind noise as you drive with the radio off and the windows up. If the car is a 4 door, have them ride in the back seats to see if they can trace the air leak.

Good luck.

Water on driver side floor of 2011 equinox

Check to make sure it's water and not anti freeze, if it is then the heater box is leaking...If it is just water then you have a bad seal around the windshield or the door seal is leaking..Check the seal around the door to see if it's torn or come loose. Maybe get in the car and have someone squirt the door area and windshield, with a garden hose, maybe you can see where it's come in at.

Hey Mr. T.,
Get a tube of this... cut a small piece off the tip..(you WILL need a caulking gun to get this out of the tube).. and maybe a friend to help pry the seal around the windshield up so you can squirt this sealer COMPLETELY .. and liberally ...around the windshield...let the seal down gently.. and let it dry.. this should seal it!! (let it DRY BEFORE wiping the excess).. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/transtar-autobody-technologies-body-tec-5109/chemicals---fluids-16461/glues--adhesives---sealants-19861/windshield-window-repair-17686/adhesive/4502/4749716

I had water coming through my sun visors this morning after a heavy rain. Where is it coming from? I don't have a sun roof.

The car is too new to have rust issues along the top edge of your roof so it must be a problem with the seal around the windshield. Look at the top of the windshield and see if you can see any kind of damage to the black rubber seal along the top of the wind shield. There may have been a rock or something hit it allows water to enter along the top edge of the windshield. If this is the case the roof lining will must likely also be damp. Hope this helps.

Rubber windshield trim has come loose on driver side. Should I reattach myself (with sealer) or return to dealer? Thanks.

Take it back to the dealer and see how much he will charge to fix it.If it's too costly at the dealership, take it to a good automotive glass shop and have it repaired. You could try to fix it with sealer, but that never comes out right. The seal will only be temporary, and probably will look bad.

When it rains the drivers side floor board is wet. It is not leaking from the roof.

Hi,
it sounds like your windshield seal is perished.
Try pouring some water onto the windshield rubber seals from the outside and see if you can find the leak.
There are several commercial windshield rubber seal repair glues out there which you can use to fix it. Try an auto or hardware shop.
It is also possible that the water is coming thru the car body so try removing the plastic kick panels around the drivers foot area and have a good look for rust.
The worst case scenario is that there is a hole from possibly rust from under the area where the dashboard meets the top rear section of the engine bay area.
Cheers,
Steve

I have a 2003 t-bird with water leak

sorry to hear about your car problems

4 things come to mind.
1.) has the car been wrecked and repaired, if so the doors may be out of adjustment.

2.) faulty door deals. the rubber seal that goes around the doors.

3.) a bad windshield installation or seal. if the windshield seal is bad it could allow water in at the top which could run between the cars metal roof and the fiberboard interior roof.

4.) bent doors

if the car has never been wrecked and the doors have never been removed then you can pretty much count out 1 and 4. check the door seals for tears or missing or flat sections. if they are intact then you may want to try pouring some water around the top of the windshield and check for leaks.

just some ideas. hope this helps, have a good day.

2000 corvette convertible top rear window came

This is a common problem with many cars. It is delamination. If the window is loose in spots, it can often be repaired with urethane adhesive like glass shops use for windshields. If the glass is more than 30% delaminated, chances of fixing it are slim. With the glass all the way out, you need a new top. Karl at topgunwon.com
