You my friend have a cracked head this is usually very costly unless you know someone in teh bussiness of head repair. this is usually caused by overheating of the engine or an impurity in the head itself. this is definitly a problem in definite need of repair.

A possibility is the water pump. This is what circulates the water through the engine and back to the radiator for cooling. Water pumps consist of several vanes attached to a rotating shaft. If a few vanes are broken, you'll get reduced water circulation, causing overheating.

Why do I have engine oil in the cooling system?

Re you sure it is engine oil? Or is it transmission fluid? Automatic transmission cars usually have a transmission oil cooler in the radiator. These can crack and leak fluid into the cooling system. It will act quite often like engine oil. It will eventually turn blackish in color because the trans fluid will eat away at the rubber hoses in the cooling system, and turn them into jelly.

Have a Vitara 1992 G16a Motor flushed water from radiator and have added coolant as required temp goes up above 3/4 and when turn the motor off the coolant from radiator rushes back into the overflow and...

it appears that there is an air lock in the cooling system. try loosening of a hose at a highest point and letting air out . refill the radiator and run without the cap to see if the level drops or if you continually get air bubbles

Oil pressure drops and truck shuts off

I have to ask if you are sure the oil pressure drops first, or the engine stops first. The engine would stop if the oil pressure dropped below 5psi but only because the fuel pump would shut off. And it should start back up if that were the reason.
If something such as a relay or the ignition module is getting hot and killing the engine, it might have to cool down before it restarts. And the engine would stop then the oil pressure would drop to zero.

Did you bleed the cooling system - that's usually why level drops at "Fill tank". It's not an overflow reservoir, coolant actually circulates through the tank. I would pressure test the cooling system, maybe intake is leaking or there's a crack in block. My car is leaking antifreeze, it got all over the engine, the mechanic is saying that i have compression loss on one side of engine, is this a major problem

yes more than likely you have a blown head gasket if your mechanic said it loss compression on one side of motor than you are only running on half of the motor (to put this in lay men terms this is like u having only one lung or half your heart although human body can run this way a car can not )
also depending on where the head gasket is blown you are more than likely dumping water into oil or visa vesra if you remember back to chemistry class water and oil don't mix oil job in the motor is to lubricate parts which it cant do with water in it on the flip side of coin when oil is in the water the oil clogs the water passages so then the motor cant cool

so if u continue to drive your car this not only are making the motor work twice as hard because only half motor is working it can't lubricate it self or cool it self
I wouldn't recommend driving this car until it fixed
If you continue to drive your car this way you end up with a blown motor instead of just a head gasket

I have oil leaking into my 1990 ford festivas radiator,what could be causing this?Is this a serious problem?

It could be the transmission oil leaking since the transmission fluid goes through the bottom of the radiator to cool off. You may need to replace the radiator. But if it's motor oil then there is a blown gasket on the motor or crack. Look at the motor oil on the dip stick and see if it looks normal or is milky looking indicating that there is also water in your motor. If it's just the radiator then it's not a serious as it is if the water is in the motor. Motor will be damaged with water in it.

After replacing a blown head gasket should an engine be flushed?

yes and no ,depends if it had oil in the water or not but to be sure that all is ok i would run vehicle on a road test then drop oil and change ,

Over heating , no water in oil , no oil in water

fan clutch could be bad if it doesnt have electric fans. thermostat could be stuck shut. water pump may be bad s the impeller inside can come loose from the shaft the belt drives. dont drive until fixed as any new motor noise is sign of potential internal motor damage and may lead to engine failure.
