Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
I bought my 2002 x-type used. It is missing two of what I call "snap-on" parts on the front. One is the size of a silver dollar between the headlights on the driver's side. The passenger side has a little green circle piece of pvc in the same spot. The other snap-on part is a type of thin grill under the front license plate mount. Not sure what these parts are called and I'm concerned that asking the dealer will be over-priced.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Snap-on Parts replacement
I think you are descibing the headlamp wash system that is missing between the headlamps. The theary is that every 7 times the windscreen is washed the washer jets pop out from the bumper and blast the headlamps with water. They were fitted as an extra rather than standard so if the cost of replacement is to expensive it would be favourable to just replace the plastic cover to hide the hole. You may find that the water jets are in place and its only the small plastic cover that is missing. The grill under the licence plate mount is mainly cosmetic but care should be taken incase other adjoining parts are loose. Hope this helps.
