1994 Chevrolet Camero "code 18" need to know what

check the gasket it probaely going back in to the cylinder head

You start buy pulling the unit out & having it
rebuilt

There is no other fix, but to completely strip your
trans & go thru it.

If the truck is not on the second trans in 18 years,
I would be surprised

Be thankfully you don't have a transaxle,they never
make 100,000 miles & in some case only a few years.

Are you check right "firing order" ? Some "check engine" light on dashborad turn on?

the process is still the same,so if you did one of 'em...then you can do 'em all. this one will be no harder than the camaro.
makes me feel good to see females doing this stuff on thier own,as to many shops give te rest of us a bad name by tryig to overcharge them.
your best bet if you continue to work on your own vehicle,is to go to an autoparts store,and buy the HAYNES repair manual for your vehicle. they are 20 bucks at Autozone,and are invaluable with info. I ALWAYS buy them when i buy a car or truck...they are easy to understand and cover everything from changing the oil to removing and rebuilding the engine.

There should be a diagram on a sticker under the hood lip of your camero (nice car by the way)

so mark distributor base to block, then mark rotor position, take it out.
when you reinstall put your rotor on mark, drop it in with you distributor base to block lined up

the problem you will have is the trans for the v6 will have less friction material in it so it will havea very short life in a v8 car.. so no its not the same trans internally but as for the fit if the v6 is a 4.3 yes a direct fit for the v8 ..

THE BOLT PATTERN SHOULD BE THE SAME, BE SURE TO CHECK THE WIDTH AND HEIGHT OF YOUR RIMS TO ENSURE FIT.

Check the Bolt Pattern. Some of the Newer Camaros Had 6 Lug Wheels. Your has 5.
