SOURCE: How I reset the 'check

  • Look to the right side of the hood release handle on the driver's side of the Toyota and find a port. Plug the OBD II scanner tool into this port and turn the key in the ignition to the "II" position.
  • Press the scroll buttons on the scanner to go through the items on the menu. Find a command that says "Erase," and then press it.
  • Watch for the main menu to appear, or wait until you receive a scanner message reading "Command Sent." Unplug the OBD II scanner tool and turn on the engine. Inspect the dashboard to determine if the check engine light is off.

SOURCE: My 2002 mercury cougar radio

sometimes blank CDs that you purchase to burn your own music on are slightly larger than the CDs used by recording studios - they can get stuck and the only solution is to remove the CD player and then remove the top and carefully work the CD/s out being careful not to damage anything inside - then do not use them again in your vehicles CD player

My radio/ 6 disc CD player.

Both. Check the power line that is supposed to power the clock and memory circuits when you turn off the ignition.

And your player has lost the ability of the laser to focus on the disc - hence the error message.

I have a sony audio cd stuck in the cd player. Ejection error displays when ejection button pressed. How did I get it outwithout damaging player?

Try disconnecting the battery for 1 min and after reconnecting the battery, try ejecting the CD from the radio. This should work, and if it does not then it's mechanical problem with the CD player. Good luck and hope this works.

6 disc changer will not eject cds==

I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.

I too have this problem. My alternator went out, however and when starting the car after having that replaced it must have reset my CD player and it worked again for about 2 months. I am back to the CD error again tho. Thinking of un-hooking my battery cables to see if that will reset it again.
