Child seat Hi guys, I have looked everywhere for the clip to attach the child seat. Has it some clever hiding place or do you need to get one fitted? If so do you know of a place taht has 'good looking' ones? thanks for the help

Some cars have them preinstalled some don't.... your manual will mention it if they are there... another way is to climb in the trunk and look up at the bottom of the back deck. even easier if you have fold down seats. most automotive parts stores or even hardware stores will have the hook you need for the seat. even take the seat with you so that you do get the correct one.

How do i get the seat out thats behind the drivers seat it is not the same as the one behind passenger seat all four are captains seats

Hi Linda:
You haven't specified the vehicle, so let's go exploring.
Use a flashlight and look under the seat. Something will be holding it in place. Either a mechanical clip so that it can be easily removed, or nuts and bolts that attach it to the frame.
Once you see what is holding it in, getting it out should be a straightforward project.

How to install baby seat in 1988 mazda 121 hatch

Most vehicles built before around 1995 were not equipped with baby seat anchors as standard equipment.
Baby seat anchors are also not something that is normally covered in service and repair information. You need to look in your Owner's Manual. If your Owner's manual does not show any baby seat anchors, then there are kits available at your local parts store or dealer to install some. There shouldn't be any need to "weld" anything.

I need to know where to find the child anchor for a 1996 dodge caravan

There are no child anchors on a 96. This was around the time the latch system was under development. Just went through looking into this for my 1996 van. chico car seat fit well

The newer van seats will not fit either( I do have a 2007 seat for sale now ) as I tried to make one fit in my 1996 van with the latch system and it didnt fit. Wheels right spacing too wide for the anchor points.

To whom it may concern, I'm struggling to install our infant car seat in our Chrysler 300M, 2001. The base comes with hooks to attach to tethers or latches which should exist by the seat belt...

I would take the vehicle to a place where they install infant seats, because you can't put a price on a childs life.....hope this helps......cheers.

I want to use the "clips" provided on my new child car seat on my 1984 Dodge diplomat. do you have any advise? How do you take the back seat out, so I can have a look at what to potentially clip...

autos after 2004 had the part in them that the clips attacked to,, depending on the brand of car seat you have you can go to the website for that product and order the clip hangers,, they attach to the portion of the seat belt behind the seat ,, that bolts down to the floor board

2003 mitsubishi rear seat release is broken where is the access point

Im pretty certain you need to remove the rear inside panel where the release is,to get to the cables route to the seat where it connects to release it,so I would suggest that you look carefully for retaining screws or small roundish covers over the screws to help remove the panel to get to the cable and you will need to pull on the trim cover as it has clips going into the inside panel to hold it as well(pull towards you)BUT Look first at the seat where the cable attaches to make sure a small retaimimg clip hasnt come off instead!

1995 Honda Accord Car seat install problem

I can't be of much help, except to indicate what Honda says about the seats, and to give you a URL to look at:
Using a Seat Belt Locking Clip
Always use a seat belt locking clip when you secure a child seat to your car with a lap/shoulder belt. This helps prevent the seat from shifting position or overturning. A locking clip is usually included with the child seat. If you need a clip, contact the seat's manufacturer or a store that sells child restraints.
The URL will take you to a more complete reference to your car manual regarding child restraints.

Hope this helps you.
