Question about 1997 Dodge Neon
The car runs great. It will be fine in park, I can rev it up and nothing happens, same thing in nuetral. When I drive it and get to about 25mph, the shifter goes into nuetral. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.
Sounds to me like you are having a transmission problem. Basically your transmission has gone into "limp" mode which is why you can drive your car up to 25mph but no further. Basically your transmission has limited it self to reverse, neutral, and 1st gear. Take your car to a transmission shop and have it diagnosed. Often a simple flush and fill will fix the problem, but you might need a new transmission.
