Question about 1989 Chevrolet Camaro
If i take the car somewhere sometimes it shuts off whereever i am It will not start again for days I have a had a tuneup anew alternator and starter. When I do start it I have to pump the gas very fast and hard to start it
To change the fuel pump you have to drop the tank, which includes demounting the exhaust pipes, taking off the sway bar and the one that's above it, and all the metal shielding that surrounds the tank. when the tank is off just take off the ring that keeps it in and switch the pump out for a new one. then just replace everything and there you go. And hopefully your tank is empty or you will be taking off the back axle also ;) good luck and if all else fails drop the tank halfway and cut an access panel in your trunk that is 7in wide by 10in long....makes things easier.

Sounds like faulty fuel pump or fuel regulator.
