no just lower the level or be quick about plugging in the new sensor, that is what I do, u may lose a cup of coolant but much less hassle than draining the radiator.

Turn the key to the run position, Within 5 seconds press and release the gas pedal three times. The change engine oil light will flash while the system is resetting. Turn off the ignition. To get the rear taillight assembly off, remove the two scews that are located under the black plastic covers when you open the rear hatch.
Pull out to the side on the front edge of the lens assembly. There are two pins located at the front of the light that just slide straight in. Remember to pull straight out the side not toward the rear of the vehicle.

You have 2 options.
1. Fix the fault in the traction control (TC) system (and get a couple of quotes first).
OR
2. If you do not want to spend the money, switch the traction control off (using the TC switch) and run the vehicle without it. You can still safely drive the vehicle without traction control. (Due to the fault in the system you will find the computer has disabled the TC it in any event).
the proble is your egr valve...have had to replace mine every 60,000 miles for the same issue., around 50.00 at rock auto.com
you can replace it yourself, its right in the front of your engine compart ment an you only need a 10 mm socket and short ext.
