Question about 2007 Hyundai Azera Limited Sedan

1 Answer

Hyundai 2008 Azera Limited

The paint on my 2008 Hyundai Azera Limited does not seem to be holding up as well as my 2007 Hyundai Sante Fe. Although I always wash and wax, it seem to scratch eaily. In addition, although both cars get bird droppings, and although I wash both frequently and immediately after bird droppings get on the car, it seem to eat through the Azera paint. The Hyundai rep says it isn't covered.

We also bought a 2008 Azera Limited this March and are experiencing the same problems with the paint job. Ours is black, and it seems that any little bump, or accidental rubbing from a neighboring car door (or whatever) seem to chip off the paint leaving only the base plastic underneath. I have 2 older cars (1998, not a Hyundai), and you really need to scratch the surface to chip off any of the paint. Can't really be doing paint spot fixes so often. Don't know what to do. The car is great in every other aspect, but I feel the paint job is pretty thin and not very good quality for a car that sells between $35k-$40k.

There have been a lot of complaints lately of newer Hyundais having a "soft" clear coat. Hyundai has not recalled any of these vehicles yet, but I would strongly recommend taking it to the dealer and try to get it fixed under warranty. You have a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty specifically for the paint, unfortunately though, it is up to the dealer's discretion as to whether or not it is a "significant" problem. Never hurts to try though.

How can I find out what options/features were built into the car I am thinking about buying. I know the VIN #

You have the VIN#. Call the dealer. They are the only ones that can tell you your options on that car.

Where is the auxiliary input in 2007 sante fe elite

If you don't see anything on the radio saying "auxiliary output" with a little earphone jack then you aren't Aux ready.

You might be able to go to a stereo shop and have them install an auxiliary output plug. They will pull the factory stereo out and splice/plug in an output wire that you can plug your iPod into.

Hi Mark, I've just had the same problem with my 2007 Sante Fe. After replacing water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc, turns out it was the cylinder head gasket. No water in oil, but engine pressurises the water system, blowing water out the overflow. Cheers

My check engine light came on my 2007 Sante Fe, not sure why engine seems to be running fine. I keep reading about codes is that something that has to be read by a mechanic or can I find this code?

Some ck engine lights come on after 100,000 miles or so. When you take it to the shop they ck engine and reset the engine light indicator. Just a safety feature.
