2002 jetta reverse lights

My reverse lights will not come on i have changed the bulbs but i am unsure of the fuse to check as i have lost the manual. thanks

    same problem in jetta 2000. tried testing all fuses with sensor. all are good. there must be an empty fuse slot that does reverse lights?



    slot 8? 10? manual does not detail

    changed both bulbs and checked fuses and still not working

You can just use a test light to check the entire fuses in the car and replace the one that is bolwn. the one which does not light up on both sides is a bad one now if your vehicle is a automatic the problem could be in the neutral safety switch bolted on to the front of the trans axewl

After switching the fuse and replacing the bulbs the reverse lights won't work.


if you changed the right fuse then you could have a bad neutral switch not working to turn on the reverse lights or power or ground is lost going to the bulbs either a bad wire or bad sockets this will have to be checked out with a test light.

My tail lights are not working on my 2000 jetta the front lights work the break lights work and the blinkers work all inside lights work just fine


you need new bulbs in tail lights one bulb in each side has two elements one works brake other works running lights the elements in the bulb for tail lites are bad . so just replace bulbs. hope this helps.

My reverse lights don't work, what could be the problem? All the fuses are good.


If the bulbs and fuses are good, your going to need to check your wires out. Make sure none are loose and pay close attention around the bulb sockets. Test the current in the wires with a voltage meter. Make sure all your grounds(black wires) are grounded good.

I have a 2002 Vue and the Back up lights do not work, I checked and changed the fuse and bulb.


is this a manual shift car?if so replace the reverse light switch on the trans,its should be the only switch on the trans...the switch usually goes bad

No low beams on my 2002 jetta but daytime running lights work


first check the wire make sure low beam power is there if there is power check your low beam fuse if fuse is good check the rely and if that good check head light module make its putting out power and if all that is goo then change you bulb it may be a double filament buld and the low beam side is blown

Rear lights


bulb is bad has 2 burners in each bulb one for tail lights and one for brake one of them has burned out from probly a elitric searge replace bulbe and you should be fine
