Question about 1993 Saturn SC2
My vehicle is a 1993 Saturn SC2. The engine fan was rewired into the radio when I bought it. Subsequently that failed and overheated the engine. In a hurry and under duress I tried to get the fan working on the side of the road. The car will not now start. I can turn the engine with a wrench so I don't believe I killed it. The power works for all but starting the car I get not even a click form the solenoid which makes me think I created an electrical problem. I think if I can get it to turn over it will start. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Big idiot Joe
My first car i owned had bad wiring.(young kid had the car and messed it all up) If you have a manual transmission, you can try to pop start to car and see if it will run. If it runs with no problem, the best thing to do is to try and wire the car back to factory specs if you can. It isn't impossible, but is a difficult task. The problem is that if you rig up the wiring, it will never be right. As for my wiring problem, well as soon as i could i purchased a new car, and sold the bad one for parts.

Well Joe, you can take it to a mechanic or jerry rig it. You have one of two ways to do the jerry rigging. 1st is to hook all the wiring back the way it was and find the power wire to the eletric fans then divert it to a toggle switch. This way all you'ld have to do is flip the switch to start your fans. The 2nd way is to run a wire from your starter to a push button in your car. This way you can push the button so the car will crank. It's basically the way a race car is set up. Yes it will lower the value of your car but it is alot cheaper then a mechanic. So, you got 3 choices. It's all up to you.
