I assume you removed the box from the truck for easier acess to the fuel tank? With more information we could determine other possible solutions. Also what size fuse are you blowing, and does the vehicle run during this period? Get back to me and we could try a series of no to very low cost test to confirm problem.

1991 toyota 4runner efi fuse keeps blowing

Correct pump for the truck?
A blown fuse means there is too much current draw from the pump.
Why is the tough question.Pinched wire?
If the fuse does not blow, immediately, can you measure the current draw at the pump in put wire?

Be SURE to cycle the key on for 5 seconds, off for 2 and back on for 5 seconds 3 times! Prime the pump.
If not primed, properly the new pump may burn out.

Cavalier '99 the fuel pump fuse blow only if the car is in drive and press the break pedal or pull the hand break, if I run the car on drive is OK if I do not put the brakes. On reverse and park i

Thats wild.
The fuel pump - injector circuit is on one fuse and the brake circuit is on a different fuse. I can't think of a way the two would be connected other than something wrong with the fuse box.
If the pump fuse blew when you hit the brake pedal, it could be something shorted in the harness, but that would not explain the parking brake.
If there is nothing wrong with the terminals in the fuse box, and no sign of trouble with the wiring around the brake pedal, you may have to hunt the wiring harness back to the pump to look for bare wires.
It might be easier to run a new wire from the pump relay to the pump outside of the main harness.
They make circuit breakers that can take the place of regular fuses, but that would only be a temp fix.

99 cavalier keeps blowing rear defrost fuse, I've disconected the battery and installed a new fuse (30 amps, what was in there before and what the chart calls up), but when I reconnect the battery the fuse...

You are looking for a short in the wiring. Start at the rear defroster and trace the wires back toward the fuse panel. You are looking for spots where the insulation is rubbed off and the wire is bare touching the body or possibly 2 wires bared touching each other. When you find it just tape them up with electrical tape and reposition them so it doesn't happen again. Hope this helps.

Fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!

I have a 1989 Toyota pick up 2wd that keeps blowing the 15A EFI fuse. I can crank it up and it will run iddle fine but once i put it in drive and press the gas peddle it blows the fuse. Any idea?

check the wires along you engine see if any have a bare spot or rubbing the throttle cable, sounds like you have a short also check to see if any wire along your fuel injection on the engine have a bare spot or shorted look closly and slowly for the rubber shielding to be chaffed or missing remember the wires once shorted could have turned black so dont just look for copper color inspect very closely with a flash light.
