Question about 1996 Toyota 4Runner
GOT NEW BATTERY AND STARTER INSTALLED BUT NOW HAVE A CLICKING SOUND THAT SOUNDS THE HAZARD LIGHTS ARE ON ALLL LICHTS AND SIGNALS WORK FINE BUT HOW DO I STOP THE CLICKING NOISE EVEN WHEN THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION AND THE VEHICLE IS OFF IT CONTINUES
Do you have a "Security" light anywhere on the dash? If so, when you change the battery, this activates the security feature. Try this: Cycle the key in the ignition on-off 5 times. This will deactivate the security system (if you do indeed have the Toyota system) Hope this works for you.
