The alternator and brake lights are both on

The brake fluid level is good and the battery seems to be charging

I fixed the problem. The battery terminals were corroded. I cleaned them. The brake light is in the same cluster with the alternator, and would come on with it. It would burn brighter when the parking brake was set.

SIDE BRAKE AND BATTERY LIGHT INDICATORS COMES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING,CHECK BRAKE AND BATTERY FLUIDS AND THEY ARE W/IN HI LEVEL.

The battery light indicates the charging system has a problem not a defective battery. as for the brake light that is unrelated and may be due to low brake fluid in the master cylinder. Have the Alternator tested to see if the output is within specs

The battery light and the brake light come on. This just started yesterday. We replaced the battery and front brakes two weeks ago. Is this just a glitch in the computer?

When you replaced the battery, did you have the alternator tested? The battery light indicates either the battery is not holding a charge or not receiving the proper power from the alternator to charge the battery.
The brake lights could be a glitch but it could also mean that you are low on brake fluid or you have air in the brake system. Suggest you at least check the fluid level in the master cylinder and bleed the brakes.

Emergency brake light stays on also battery light on

Assuming there is not a problem with the parking brake (as in a stuck switch), the red "BRAKE" light will remain on if your brake fluid is low (for your regular service brakes). Check your fluid, and if it is low, check your brakes and brake lines to be sure there isn't a leak somewhere, as this could be dangerous!

Brake fluid level will drop slightly as your brake pads/shoes wear over time. If you need brake pads or shoes, avoid topping the fluid off, as it will overflow when you go to compress the pistons in the calipers later on (when changing your brake pads). If you MUST add fluid, only add to the "FULL" mark. If you have a leak, remember the brakes must be bled after you repair the leak.

The battery light signifies a charging problem. You will need to check the output of your alternator, as in volts AND amps. Usually a local garage will be able to perform a quick (and cheap) check of your charging system. Check your battery too, to be sure that it holds a good charge.

I have a 2002 hyundai accent. I just replaced the battery yesturday because it went completly dead. my battery light and parking brake light is on and wont go away. THis morning my brand new battery is...

It really sounds like maybe that alternator is bad. You can get it checked at a local parts house like an AutoZone, Advance or Pepboys. They can check the voltage at the battery with the car running, it should be above or around 14 volts, if it is lower then the alternator is not working properly. You should call and check to see if there is a warranty on this alternator if it went bad so quickly, but every shop and parts manufacturer has different warranties.
I can't say that that brake light is directly related to this but you should definitely check and make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir is at the proper level. The brake fluid reservoir is under the hood on the drivers side of the car right up by the firewall (the wall that separates you from the engine bay). It is usually a cylindrical container. You should see Max and Min fluid level marks. Make sure the fluid is in that range. If it is not you make need some brakes replaced. If the fluid level is fine it may be related to the fact that the battery is running low voltage, car computers get wacky when they do not get the proper voltage to them.

Brake light abs light battery light on windows rolling up and down slow and power window barly working

brake light- check level of brake fluid.

abs light- have car scanned with ABS Brake Scan Tool (OBD-II compliant).

battery light- The alternator probably is not charging the battery enough when running. Possible bad battery if one lets it go too long.

1998 nissan altima break fluid and battery lite keeps coming on. also hear a belt slipping noise in the engine. only has 42,000 miles

possibly separate issues...there is a float in the brake reservoir that will detect low fluid..low fluid is usually a sign of wearing brake pads as the fluid displaces this wear and lowers the level in the reservoir. A slipping belt will cause battery charging issues as the alternators slips too much and wont chrage sufficiently.run charging system diagnostic and ensure all belts/tensioners and alternator to be performing correctly...good luck

My brake and battery dashboard lights came on when i was driving there was no change in the way the vechile ran but the was a slight whining sound

First, check the brake fluid levels to insure adequate amount, and providing your brakes are in good working order, make sure the foot pedal brake is released as well. The battery light means your alternator isn't working right, or your battery isn't accepting the charge. The whinning sound could be from the altenator, so try and have someone listen w/ hood up and possibly check the Alternator/battery with a multimeter. replace if the alternator puts out anything less than 12 volts.
