If you can't find the code for it then you will have to go to Mitsubishi dealer to have them brake it for you.

Need a code for a 2002 factory radio

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and after having the battery changed I needed this code to reset my factory stereo. I was flipping through the manual and found that the previous owner had a receipt from a shop that did electrical work on the car, and had written down the code. The manual says that two cards originally come with the car with this code on them. If you do not have yours written down and dont have the cards, I believe you will need to contact an authorized Mitsubishi dealership to assist you with getting the code for your car. I think they are specific to each car, there is not a universal code for all of them.

Stereo code

Your stereo is on most likely on anti-theft, if its the stock stereo check the owners manual booklet, otherwise you'll have to ask the dealership

My stereo doesnt work it says code on it and i was needing to know how to get the code or how can i make the stereo work and its a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse?

Some radios have an antitheft feature built in. When the power is disconnected (like in replacing a battery or if the radio was removed or stolen from a car) then you have to enter a code to activate it. Call the dealer and ask if they can help you with the code and procedures. Your owner's manual should have the procedure listed in it but the code should have been in the papers that came with your car when it was new. Again the dealer is your best bet. They will need your vehicle VIN and maybe even the radio serial number. There are some web sites that offer to sell you radio codes but I have had good luck with the dealers giving me them free.

Need to unlock 99 Beetle stereo!!

Hi, this is a common problem when people buy second hand cars and disconnect the battery to work on the car, they put the battery back on and find out the code needs putting in the stereo.

The problem is unless the original owners wrote it down in side the owners manual the only other option is take your car to the main dealers and they will then give you the code you need to take the car with you and maybe the log book they wont give this info out over the phone just in case the stereo has been stolen.

Their is no other way of getting this code as they dont give them out and as the codes are totally random their is no way of writing a program to hack these codes.

Sorry their is no easy fix for this but the upside is they wont charge you for giving you the code but you need to take the car with you then when they give you the code write it down in case you need it in the future or if you sold the car pass this info on to the new owner as they should have passed this on to you.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Radio needs a code but i dont know it

It sounds like you stereo did not retain it's memory during the battery change. Unless you have the code, or the serial number written down somewhere, you will have to remove the stereo and get the serial number off the unit to request a new one.

They change the radio stations and tracks on the CD, and volume. If you don't have the default stereo installed, then the wires probably aren't hooked up properly to the new radio, and the buttons probably don't work.

Need code number for 2000 mitsubishi eclipse to turn radio on

this is quite a common fault which i hear, the only way to obtain the code is to hope the previoous owner or the person who fitted stereo is wise enough to write it down in your handbook. if it a factory fitted stereo then the manufacturer keps a log of it and will provide it to you for a small fee.
