Question about 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix
I have a remote that the dealer verified that it is good, but none of the programing steps have worked. If it is the receiver , where is it and can it be tested? Or is there only one correct programing method and where can I find it? Dealer wants $$ for diagnostic fees.
I had the same problem, keyless remote worked when programming, but the key had to be on "on position" in order to work, once I removed the key, it didn't respond. thats right, dealer ask too much for diagnostic. then you have to pay for whatever it needs. I ended up buying another keyless entry lol, I tho it would be cheaper, 120 installed

You can probably find the remote program online some where.
